Tribute to Andrew York has been featured in the current issue of Fingerstyle magazine- the tune is on the accompanying compilation CD and the article includes my workshop and a transcription of the piece by Andrew himself - truly a great honour.

| Eclectia - the new album

Since the release of "Firefly" in August 2004 much has happened. I have written new music and new songs, launched myself headlong into learning the art of digital recording, taught myself the use of MIDI and widened my sphere of guitar playing to include MIDI guitar. Eclectia was recorded and mixed entirely on my Powerbook G4 laptop in my home studio in Bermuda where I live. Most of the instruments including the flutes, fifes, dulcimers and the Indian string instruments were played through the guitar much like an electronic keyboard can be used to play different instruments. It has been a fascinating and challenging experience and I have learned much during this time. I see many little gems and as many little flaws in "Eclectia", all of which are the pebbles on the path of my journey in music and in life--so share it with me if you will--and share it with others too--
Eclectia is due for official release in mid-December. Music is already available for secure sale by download from this website through Broadjam

Kamilo Kratc is a wizard of a recording engineer and the most genial person I have ever known. He has just taken over Astoria Soundworks in Queens, N.Y. where "Firefly" was recorded. The studio has now been renamed Soundworks Recording. To any one at any stage in his music career with an interest in a professional recording, I whole heartedly and with all enthusiasm recommend Kamilo. His wisdom and experience will grace your project and you will come away enriched by the experience of working with this delightful man. I wish him all the very best in his new endeavour.
